Did you know we are 100% operated by volunteers? 

Every toy bought, catalogued, labelled, packaged and mended. Every shelf built, poster designed, wall painted, weed pulled. Every fundraiser and every grant application. It's all done by volunteers. 

Volunteering duties can include: 

• Helping during our open sessions:
  • Counting returned toys
  • Cleaning returned toys
  • ​Putting toys away
  • Processing returns on the computer 
  • Processing borrowing on the computer
  • Processing payments   
  • Assisting members to locate toys 
  • Processing and labelling new toys
  • Assisting with set up prior to a session 
  • Assisting with pack up after a session  
  • Returning missing pieces 
• Helping with the annual toy stocktake
• Assisting with working bees 
• Assisting with fundraising 
• ​Mending broken toys
• Website design
• Social media management
• Grant applications
• Interpretation

Volunteers at the toy library must: 

• Have a valid Working with Children Check (free for volunteers)
• Provide photo ID
• Complete the Volunteer and Committee Member Application Form
• Read and understand our Child Safety Policy and Statement of Commitment
• Agree to and sign our Code of Conduct

Volunteers don't need to: 

• have any previous experience
• know anything about toy libraries
• be a Warrnambool Toy Library member
• be a parent
